Theresa A. McLaughlin (Cappiello) “Terry”, age 62, of West Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of Jeffrey B. McLaughlin. They would have been married for almost twenty years.
Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Helen E. (Metta) Cappiello. She was raised in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School.
In her early years Terry worked at Boston College followed by a long career as a teacher at the family owned Tinkerbell Kindergarten. After the schools closure she went on to teach at Trinity Catholic Academy and has been there for the past ten years. She enjoyed working with children and touched the hearts of many.
Terry loved going to Disney World a tradition that she started with her son Lorne in the early 1990’s. She loved spending time with her three grandchildren as they gave her tremendous joy. She also enjoyed cooking, especially meatballs and Italian cookies.
Besides her husband, she leaves her only son, Lorne K. Beane, Jr., and his wife, Kayla, of Whitman; her adored grandchildren, Kadence M. Devlin, Ariana N. Beane, and Thomas-John C. Beane; her siblings, Camille Riberio, and her husband, Robert, of East Bridgewater, Michael Cappiello, and his wife, Jane, of Bradenton, FL, and Andrea “Dee” Homer, of Wareham; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Terry’s family on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 10:00 am, in Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, South Easton. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, N. Cary Street, Brockton.
