Anthony Daniel Obdens, 85, of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Belvidere Healthcare Center in Lowell. Anthony was born to the late Anthony and Mary (Jasinski) Obdens, on June 3, 1936. He was immersed in the Christian community that would be his lifelong support from an early age. He attended Keith Academy in Lowell, MA, and later went on to become an airplane mechanic in the U.S. Air Force where he received the Good Conduct Medal in 1956.
Anthony married the love of his life, Mildred (Dunphy) Weiss, and together they had their only child Kimberly (Obdens) Bertrand, in Tewksbury, MA. He enjoyed many trips to Plum Island, showing Kimberly how to fish and teaching her about the outdoors and his love for airplanes.
He became very involved with AA and helped many people learn the Serenity Prayer and followed closely to the Twelve Steps. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
Anthony is survived by his daughter, Kimberly, and his son-in-law James Sr., his three grandchildren, Olivia, James Jr., and Madeline , all of Hudson, NH; and his niece, Katrina (Obdens) Lisi of Chester, NH, and her children, Natasha Lisi and Joseph Montbleau, both of Hudson, NH.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Obdens, his brother Richard Obdens, and his parents.
On Saturday, February 12, 2022, all are welcome to attend his visitation and funeral service from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Northeast Christian Church, 995 Andover Street Tewksbury, MA, followed by a luncheon.
