Joseph Baroni
...retired rigger and Navy Veteran; 84
TEWKSBURY - Joseph Baroni, age 84, a retired truck driver, rigger, and Veteran of WWII, died
Wednesday afternoon, April 26, at the Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover, after a long
period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary R. (Delaney) Baroni.
He was born in Billerica, on June 22, 1921, a son of the late Daniel and Milany (Daroni) Baroni.
He was raised and educated in Billerica, but had lived the greater part of his life in Medford.
During WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a retired truck driver and rigger.
He is survived by three brothers, Vincent Baroni of Tewksbury, S. John Baroni and his wife Lydia
of Arizona, Ralph Baroni and his wife Margaret (Delaney) of Billerica; and was the loving uncle
of many nieces and nephews.
He was also brother of the late Harold Baroni.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, May 1, in St. Williams’ Church,Tewksbury. Burial was in South Cemetery,
Bolton. Memorials to the Fran Delaney Foundation for A.L.S. Research,
P.O. Box 442, Burlington, MA 01803 or the Charity of Donors Choice, will be appreciated.
