After a long and fullfilled life of love and family, Edmund (Mundo) J. Candelora passed away at his home on February 3, 2022, at the age of 98.
He was a longtime resident of the Heritage Apartments in Malden, Massachussetts. He was born on November 1, 1923.
He worked for the City of Malden and Bond Brothers in Everett as a construction worker. He did mason work later in life. He worked at the carnival games at Revere Beach in its glory day. At one point in his life, he owned a store in Cambridge in which he sold all different merchandise. He enjoyed going to Wonderland racetrack in Revere and Foxwoods with his sons in hopes to win the "Big Win" but he never gave up. His favorite past time was cooking and watching wrestling, football and baseball. He loved all animals. He enjoyed holiday and family gatherings. He had a great sense of humor. We will always cherish the many funny and wonderful memories.
He is survived by his wife Donna (Morrison) Candelora. He is survived by his children: Edmund J Candelora, Dennis Candelora and wife Andrea, Janice Candelora, Karen Thatcher and husband John and Scott Sarsfield and wife Melissa.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Dennis W. Candelora and wife Lani, Brandi Candelora, Jack Thatcher, Samuel Thatcher, Stefenie Candelora, Austin Ellison and wife Amanda, Tyler Ellison and Isabel Ellison, also great grandchildren: Maria, Angelo, Antony, Luccio, Allison, Emily and Kimberly.
Visitation will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral home, 865 Main Street, Malden, on Friday February 11th from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
