James Edward “Jimmy” Carter, age 72, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022. He was born July 11, 1949 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and was the son of the late James H. “Pete” Carter and the late Mary Lee Card Carter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Scott Carter.
Jimmy is survived by his grandchildren, Cierra Carter and Ryan Carter; sisters, Mary Amos (Doug) and Sarah Farrar; brother; Danny Carter (Susan); nieces and nephews, Dora Lee Miller, Andy Carter, Danny Farrar, Kimberly Owen, Gary Farrar, and Ethan Carter; and special friends, John McClure and Wendy Queensberry.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Woodland Cemetery in Chase City.
