Dane Austin Kasschau, 39, of Dover, who battled Crohn's disease most of his adult life, passed away on January 25th, 2022 at his home in Dover, MA following a courageous nine month battle with Stage 4 colorectal cancer. Dane was the third of four children and the youngest son of James Henry Kasschau and Eileen Mindy Kasschau. Brother to Jared Kasschau, Brant Kasschau, and Paige Kasschau Merendino, beloved uncle to their children.
Dane was raised in Rockville Centre, NY and attended South Side High School before enrolling at Lehigh University where he participated in the Men’s lacrosse program and became captain of his team senior year.
Dane’s was a life so well lived, cut entirely too short. His wide, easy smile; genuine personality; authenticity; and contagious charisma made him unforgettable. Dane was a person who cherished relationships and deep, enduring friendships were a priority. He possessed a unique ability to make everyone feel their best and even the most mundane tasks fun. He genuinely saw the beauty in life, and he possessed an innate ability to share that joy with those around him.
In his short time on earth, he created a legacy of kindness, generosity, and light that will carry all those who grieve him now through the years to come. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, athlete, competitor, and artist. He will be dearly missed by everyone blessed to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife Lissy King Kasschau, his daughter Austin Lee Kasschau, his son Jack Harris Kasschau, and a soon to be born baby boy.
Rest In Peace, Dane.
