STURBRIDGE___Lucille F. (Fournier/LaForest) Westberg of Sturbridge, passed away on January 26, 2022 after struggles with cancer and dementia.
Lucille was born on June 19, 1942, to the late Joseph and Stella (Magerowski) Fournier and grew up in Worcester. Lucille moved to Auburn and then later moved to Sturbridge where she lived until her passing. Lucille graduated from Becker and Assumption Colleges and she worked for many years at Hanover Insurance as an Executive Assistant.
Lucille liked some of the finer things in life like good food, sharp wit and playful banter. She loved to read almost as much as she loved to travel. She enjoyed sailing and visits to the ocean and when she could, would make the journey to the local casino. Lucille loved the company with her cats throughout the years, many of which were rescues (for her, not the cats).
She was predeceased by her first husband, Frederick E. LaForest in 1978 and by her second husband, Richard D. Westberg in 1987.
She leaves behind a daughter, Christine A. LaForest of Holland, step-daughter, Shawn I. Keen and her husband Paul of Berlin, and (twin) sons, Michael F. LaForest of Fiskdale, and Stephen F. LaForest and his wife Sharon of Sutton; loving grandmother of Julia Ducey and Alison and Bryce LaForest; dear sister to Joyce Jacobsen and her husband Gerald of Paxton, and brother Joseph (Jay) Fournier and his wife Pauline of Hopkinton. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, lifelong friends and special friends.
Her family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Care One of Millbury for the attention and care that they gave to her while she was there as well as Beacon Hospice.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St, Worcester, on February 12, 2022, from 10:00am – 12:00 pm followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:30pm in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester.
