SPRINGFIELD – Pauline G. (Bibeau) Rousseau, 86, of the Sixteen Acres section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was born in Springfield on August 19, 1935, a beloved daughter of the late Aime and Anna (Landry) Bibeau. She was raised in Springfield and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was employed by the former Woolworth Department Store on Main Street and then at their Forest Park location and later worked at the Lady in Red Antique Store in Forest Park. During her leisure time she enjoyed antiquing and gardening. Most of all she was a woman who loved life and adored her family and many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Guy C. Rousseau who was Called Home on April 16, 1997. She leaves her three loving children, Alan G. Rousseau and Susan A. Rousseau, both of Springfield and Peter J. Rousseau and his wife, Laurie, of Florida; her five cherished grandchildren, Melissa Rousseau, Gabrielle Rousseau, Andrew Rousseau, Brittany Caouette and her partner, James, and Joseph Caouette; her four cherished great-grandchildren, Autumn and August Carlin and Joella and Bryella Caouette; her two dear brothers, Paul Bibeau of Maryland and David Bibeau and his wife, Sheryl ,of Florida; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brothers and sisters, Roger Bibeau and Joseph “Raymond” Bibeau and Margaret “Madeline” Buckner and Anita Bednarz. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker Street, Springfield, MA 01129. Her burial will be private. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107. Masks are required for her services.
