Mr. Thomas Francis Norris, Jr., a longtime resident of Andover and beloved husband of Ruth (Shea) Norris, to whom he was married for 66 years, passed away at his home on Sunday morning, January 30, 2022. He was 87 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 28, 1934 he was the beloved son of the late Thomas F., Sr. and Catherine (McNamara) Norris. Mr. Norris was a graduate of Bentley College and was retired from Raytheon as a Financial Analyst. Thomas was a longtime communicant of St. Augustine Church and had served the church as Eucharistic Minister, for many years. An accomplished artist, Thomas worked with many mediums, including watercolor, paint and pen and ink to name a few. He was a sculptor and has several bronze works on display. He was commissioned to create a bronze relief of baseball coach and manager, Don Zimmer. The bronze relief stands at a baseball field in Windham, N.H. which is called the Don Zimmer field. Above all, Thomas was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Ruth, Thomas is survived by his loving children; Thomas F. and his wife Carol Norris of Haverhill, William P. Norris of North Andover, Kathleen M. and her husband Thomas Sambuco of Andover, Kevin G. Norris of Andover, Elizabeth M. and her husband Robert Gosselin of Windham, New Hampshire, Sean L. and his wife Donna Norris of Andover and Robert F. Norris of California, siblings; David H. and his wife Cornelia Norris of North Andover and Paul M. and his wife Diane Norris of Quincy, sisters-in-law Catherine Petrycki of Windham, New Hampshire and Helen Petrycki of Bradford, he was the loving Papa of eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also, the brother of the late Richard M. Norris.
