Neva Annette Lee graduated to heaven on January 28, 2022.
She was born on June 28, 1929 to William and Vesta Glaser in Lebanon, Oregon. She grew up on a grass seed farm and attended a one-room country school. She graduated from Westmount College in Santa Barbara. For 35 years, she taught fourth and fifth grades in Wasco and Sunkist School in Port Hueneme. Her students enjoyed arts, crafts, ceramics, and a yearly Hawaiian Luau. The weekly highlight was the Junior Toastmasters Club on Friday.
On a blind date, she met Ralph Lee. They married and had a daughter, Ginger. In Wasco, they operated a drive-in: Lee's Slush Pit.
They enjoyed traveling by car and motorhome to all the lower 48 states plus Alaska and Hawaii. Overseas adventures were to New Zealand, British Isles, and Scandinavia. She later traveled to Germany, Greece, Turkey, and China.
She loved gardening and shared her flowers with shut-ins. She joined the Missionary Church; she sang alto in the Silvertones choir and chaired the Naomi Ladies' Luncheon.
Her husband, Ralph, died on September 2, 1998.
She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Enge and her husband Jeff, of Ventura; her step-son, Michael Lee and his wife Lonnie, of Washington; her grandchildren: Mark Lee, Shannon Harwood and her husband Eric, Matt Lee and his wife Tara, Brian and his wife Brooke; and Megan Enge; her great grandchildren: Ryan, Jenna, and Taylor Enge; Jake, Darren, and Brianna Harwood; and Maggie, Courtney, Camden, and Shelby Lee.
