SPENCER: Lorraine I. (Dumais) Monette,98, of Spencer, died Friday, Jan. 28th. in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
She was the wife of Richard A. Monette who died in 1999. Her first husband, Arthur Graves, died in 1982.
In loving memory, she leaves her daughter; Jean A. Jay of Puyallup, Wa., her granddaughters; Donna Stevenson and her husband James of Ashland, MT, and Patti Wilson and her husband Darrin of Gig Harbor, WA., her step children; Anne Marie Jette and her husband John, Richard P. Monette and his wife Kim, Warren Monette and his wife Roberta all of Spencer, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, and 11 step great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Arthur "Sonny" Graves in 1995, and a step grandson Michael Jette in 2016.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of William and Rosanna (Gaudette) Dumais and was a lifelong resident. Lorraine was a licensed practical nurse and worked at the former Fairlawn Hospital in Worcester. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish and the Leicester Senior Citizen Club. She graduated from the David Hale Fanning School of Practical Nursing in Worcester.
A Memorial Mass will be HELD ON SATURDAY, JUNE 11 @ 10 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Spencer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Spencer Rescue Squad, Inc. 6 Bixby Rd., Spencer, MA 01562. The J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERALHOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements for the family.
