Robert Lee Jackson, Sr. age 90, of Skipwith, Virginia passed away Monday, January 31, 2022. He was born October 10, 1931 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and was the son of the late Jacob Robert Jackson and the late Willie B. Brame Jackson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacqueline Gail Jackson; sister, Janie Rose Thomas and grandson, Jason Jackson.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Maxine Seate Jackson; three sons, Robert Lee Jackson, Jr. (Laura) of Scottsburg, Timothy Mark Jackson (Rebecca) of Skipwith, and Kenneth Jacob Jackson (Peggy) of Green Sea, SC; one daughter, Patricia Jackson Hash (David) of Skipwith; grandchildren, Chris Covington (Toni), Nathan Covington, Joshua Jackson (Clara), Zachary Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Jessica Jackson, Kenneth Ivy, Tonya Zitvogel, Matthew Hash, and Skylar Hash; and great-grandchildren, Harper, Nolan, McKinley, Brooklyn, Lainey, Connor, McKenzie, Brinkley, and Dakota. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Lucy McCall, Joel Hale, David Hale, and Susan Hale.
Robert was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Skipwith where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was a self-employed contractor and could fix anything. He was a hard worker and instilled a strong work ethic in all of his family. Robert was a loving, devoted, kind-hearted family man. He is dearly loved and respected by his family and will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, 1260 Wilkerson Road, Skipwith, Virginia 23968.
