Obituary

Kasem Kaso, 94, of Worcester died Saturday, January 29th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus. His wife, Saime (Pacrami) Kaso died in 2018. He leaves a son, Arben Kaso and his wife, Natasha of Connecticut; two daughters, Aferdita Toska of Tirana, Albania and Teuta Qatipi of Worcester; his brothers, Nick Kaso and his wife, Emily of Austin, TX, Agron, Proletar, Spartak and Darvin Doraci of Albania; a sister, Pajtime Cafuli of Albania; six grandchildren, Igli, Ervin and Mamica Toska; Erlap and Klesti Kaso; and Enxhi Qatpi; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Albania. Kasem went to school to become a lawyer and went to Moscow to became a specialist in criminal justice. He worked in law enforcement where he was the Police General of Albania for 19 years straight. Kasem was a published author, writing twelve books. He was proud of his Albanian heritage and was involved in the local Albanian community in Worcester.
Calling hours are Wednesday, February 2nd from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a graveside service in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street.
