Marilyn Giangrande, 71, of Tewksbury, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at Willow Manor.
Born September 3, 1950, in Somerville, she was the daughter of Katherine (Rizzo) Giangrande of Tewksbury, and the late Frank Giangrande who died in 1985. She grew up and was educated in Somerville.
She was a hairdresser for several years and then moved to New Hampshire and worked for Hadco making printed circuit boards. She then relocated to Florida after she retired, living in Naples for over 20 years. A few years ago she moved back to Tewksbury to be closer to her family.
Mal enjoyed karaoke, arts and crafts, and helping others. She was a real jack of all trades, often finding herself hemming clothes, giving haircuts and perms, or cooking for the workers in her housing complex.
In addition to her loving mother, Katherine, she is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Maniscalco of Tewksbury and Janet Rodriguez and her husband, Franco of Rockland; her nieces and nephews, James Maniscalco and his wife, Melissa of Tewksbury, Lisa Wilson and her husband, Mike of Tewksbury, Leanne Maldonado and her husband, Tito of Billerica, and Janelle Rodriguez of Rockland, MA; her eight grandnieces and grandnephews, Gina, Cara, Michael, Nicholas, Kaylee, Kelsie, Adrianna, and Sofia who lovingly referred to her as Auntie Mar; as well as her many friends in Florida.
Her funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 4, 2022, 11:30 A.M. at St. William's Church.
