Harry Kiremitjian, 89, of Paxton, died January 30th in St. Vincent Hospital. His wife of 47 years, Julia (Kazarian) Kiremitjian died in 2003. He is survived by his son, David Kiremitjian; his daughter, Sona Murphy and her husband, Richard all of Paxton; his brother, Dogan Kiremit and his wife, Diane of Irvine, CA; two grandchildren, Janel Powers and her husband, William and Dean Murphy and his great-granddaughter, Emilia Powers. He was predeceased by three brothers, John and Errol Kiremit and Onnik Kiremitjian, and two sisters, Mariam Arslanyan and Cemile Altug.
Mr. Kiremitjian was born in Tokat, Turkey the son of Sukru and Nadide (Inceogluyan) Kiremit and was a veteran of the Turkish Army. He had worked as an electrician and electrical sales for Keystone Electric and later for Webster Electric. Harry's hobbies included electronics, tinkering with lamps and radios, and documenting events by creating videos to capture the moments. His greatest joy was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Funeral services for Mr. Kiremitjian will be private, there are no calling hours. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
