Obituary

Assunta L. (DiMascio) Federico on Saturday January 29, 2022, of Norwood formerly of Dedham, and Medford. Assunta was born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Abruzzo Italy in 1929 and came to America in 1954 with her husband Frank. Beloved wife of the late Frank Federico, Sr. Assunta was the loving mother of Tony F. Federico and his wife Donna, Joseph D. Federico and the late Frank Federico, Jr. Adoring grandmother of Matthew, Christopher, Adriana, Ryan and his wife Kendelle, and Dante. Daughter of the late Pierino and Giulia DiMascio. Oldest sister to Pierino “Peter” and his wife Christine, and the late Terri White. Assunta loved and was loved by her cousin Lydia Federico and her family. Eva Federico and her family, Angelina DiMascio, Sylvia Federico and Anna Federico and her many friends in Norwood especially Pauli. Assunta also leaves behind many loving nieces, and nephews. Assunta’s family is forever grateful to Dr. Jonathan Goldman at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Assunta's Funeral Mass on Monday, February 7th at 11 a.m. in the St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, (Near Cummins Highway) Roslindale on Sunday February 6th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
Services will conclude with entombment at Saint Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
