IRENE J. MORRIS passed away on Wednesday, January 26th surrounded in comfort by many of her children. A lifelong resident of Lowell and the last of her generation, she was the youngest of six born to Joseph and Helen Hebert (O’Toole). She was the wife of the deceased Robert Morris, her true life’s love. She was a proud Irish woman with the heart and softness of a warm winter blanket. Her corner of the world was always lit up in celebration - be it Christmas, Easter, the 4th of July, but especially Halloween, where her creativity often scared the hell out of the neighborhood. She literally was a woman for all seasons. She loved the sun of the summer, the snow of the winter, the colors of autumn and the promise of spring. Her simple joys included playing cribbage and 45s and speculating on scratch tickets. She lived the last 50 years of her life in Centralville and would have lived there for another 50, if God was willing. Later in life she became a surprisingly good gardener and a remarkably strong advocate for animals. While she was loved by many, she was the type of person who will be missed more, the longer she is gone. She is survived by her seven children, fifteen grand-children and one great grandchild including: her son Rick Perry and his wife Dania of Treasure Island, FL and their children Marley, Donovan, Jacqueline and Brendon; son Kevin Perry of Andover and his partner Tina Ledine, and his son Zachary and daughter Madison; son Mark Perry and wife Wendy of Dunbarton, NH, and his daughter Jessalyn Perry and spouse Olivia and their son Gryffin, and son Eli Perry; son Ken Perry and wife Robin of Macomb, MI, and their daughter Katelyn Hurley and husband Sean, and son Steven Perry; daughter Karen Greelish and partner Jim Grundy of Salem, NH and daughter Taylor Greelish; son Bruce Perry of Dracut and wife Tracy, and their sons Sam and Alex Perry; daughter Michelle Green of Lowell and her husband Mike, and their daughters Brittany Berube and husband Joshua, and Kathleen Green. She was predeceased by her siblings Norman Hebert, George Hebert, Camille Hebert, Daniel Hebert, Mary Murphy, and granddaughter Rebecca Perry. Donations may be made in her name to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St. Lowell, MA 01854
