WORCESTER – Charles H. Cobb, III, 77, formerly of Webster, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Saint Vincent Hospital after a long illness.
He leaves his adopted son, Steven Raymond LaFleche of Webster; 3 siblings, Jeanne St.Laurent and her husband Jacques of Southbridge, Brian P. Cobb and his longtime friend Erin Ovitt, and Kevin J. Cobb and his wife Janine, all of Worcester; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by is brother Dennis is 2021.
He was born on August 1, 1944, in Webster, the eldest child of Charles H. Cobb, Jr. and Alma O. (Landry) Cobb and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1962. He also attended Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a private first class.
Mr. Cobb was a truck driver for the former Deary Brothers Dairy in Dudley and then for Miller Beer Distributors in Connecticut.
He enjoyed his CB radio, ice skating, gardening, fishing and hunting.
A graveside service with military honors provided by the Webster Dudley Veterans Council will be held privately. Donations in his name may be made to the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council, 4 Veterans Way, Webster, MA 01570. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., Webster.
