Fred attended New York City public schools, Framingham high school in Massachusetts and Northeastern University. He retired after a long career at Digital Equipment Corporation. Fred was known for his passion for cars and for chatting with everyone he met, even for a few minutes in airports, on planes, and just about everywhere. Jewish people lovingly called this “schmoozing”. Another thing about Fred was his total inability to carry a tune. His family loved him dearly anyway. He adored his four grandchildren and will be lovingly missed by them.
Services will be held at a later date in New York. The Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements.
