Dorothea Buckley, 85 of Norfolk, peacefully passed away on January 26th at Beaumont Skilled Nursing in Westborough. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Buckley.
Born in Norfolk April 19, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Bertha (Konis) Comendul.
The family later moved to Wrentham where she graduated from Wrentham High School in 1953. After high school Dotti attended cosmetology school and worked as a hair stylist for many years. Later she and Tom owned and operated Colorific a jewelry finishing company for 25 years. Together they also enjoyed their many years of boating in South County, Rhode Island with friends and family.
Dotti enjoyed swimming, a good scrabble game and had a passion for cooking, especially baking. Her most cherished times were spending time with family.
Dotti is survived by her son Marc Simmler and his wife Sandra of Uxbridge, daughter Dianne Matros and her husband Michael of Norfolk, granddaughter Crystal Buckley and husband Joseph Hamm of Medway, grandson Michael Matros Jr of North Attleboro, Marc Simmler Jr. of Florida and great grandchildren Joseph and Kennedy Hamm.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Friday February 4th, in the Anglican Church of the Redeemer 71 Bond Street Norwood, MA at 11AM.
Interment at Union Street Cemetery, Franklin will be held at a later date.
