John Duncan Burke, of Ventura, CA, passed away on 1/19/2022 in Ventura. John was born in Huntington Park, CA to Herbert “Hootie” and Pattie Burke on 12/2/1941. As a child he lived in San Juan, Texas. He moved to Ventura while in Junior High. He graduated from Ventura High School in 1959. John married Pamela Kay Cook in 1964. He was drafted into the Army. After the Army, John worked in aerospace and then at Point Mugu as a photographer. John’s passions were his cats, cars, and photography.
John is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Ann and Richard Soloski. His nieces Kim (Kevin) Becker and Tammy Madden. 5 great nieces and nephews and 7 great-great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Pam and his son David Brian Burke. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to those who helped ensure he got the best care possible, especially Len, Lynsday, Peter, Lisa and the rest of the staff from Pete’s Breakfast House.
