Rosemary (Pietrass) Benton, 77, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022.
Born and raised in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Diamantina (Costa) Pietrass.
Rosemary loved bingo, gambling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren and close friends.
She worked at China Lantern as a waitress for many years.
Survivors include her children, Diane Gagne of Dartmouth, David Benton, Jr., of Fairhaven, and Melissa Wedge and her boyfriend Daniel Diaz of New Bedford; her sister Maryann Medeiros of New Bedford; her grandchildren Dashara Cora, Janaya Cora, Steven Gagne, Amanda Gagne, Sabrina Benton, Jillian Valentin, and Tara Benton; and great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Tristan, and Amelia.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Dolores Fouquett, Richard Pietrass, Thomas Pietrass, and Patricia Thompson.
Her memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022 from 4-6 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
