Cory Lee, 34, of Ocilla, Georgia, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, in Irwin County, Georgia.
A visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will follow at Cory’s home, 523 North Alder Street in Ocilla.
Cory was born February 17, 1987, in Tifton, Georgia to James Lee and Yvette Childs Lee. He graduated high school in Lake City, Florida. He worked as a lab technician for Modern Dispersions South in Fitzgerald. Cory enjoyed studying mythology. He loved to cook and grill and hang out with his friends. He enjoyed singing karaoke, fishing, and spring hopping. Cory was very family oriented and was a devoted husband and father to his girls at home.
He is survived by his wife, Nykki Ballew Lee of Ocilla; his two daughters: Presleigh Lee and Freya Lee; father, James & Jackie Lee of Crossland; mother, Yvette Lee of Tifton; siblings: Michael & Regina Lee of Sycamore, Shaun Blanchard of Vienna, Margo & Robert Cannady of Hahira, Nikki & Shaun Stephens of Lenox, Timmy & Kristen Walker of Tifton, Becky Blanchard of Tifton, and Ashley & Stefan Foremes of Tifton; parents-in-law, Rachel & Ricky Newton of Ocilla; brother-in-law, T.J. & Elena Ballew of Statesboro; sister-in-law, Lania Newton of Ocilla; grandparents: Charles Rowe of Nashville and Linda & Simon Newton of Albany; aunts and uncles: R.J. & Luray Lee and Quinten of Lake City, Florida, Ramona & Faron Johnson of Omega, Dale & Todd Ricks of Tifton, Sam & Dorothy Bromlow of Enigma, and Becky & Truman Cole of Albany; nieces and nephews: Destiny Benton, Halie Cannady, Cody Stephens, Chase Blanchard, Hannah Blanchard, Marlee Cannady, Waylon Lee, Valerie Lee, Khloe Walker, Harleigh Walker, Payton Newton, Tucker Newton, Regan Ballew, Karsyn Ballew, Hayden Ballew, Trevor Foremes, Kenton Foremes, and Mason Peacock; and many special cousins including: Matthew & Kristen Peacock of Ocilla, Katlyn & Slade Reid of Adel, Johnny & Jordan Ricks of Savannah, Justin Ricks of Tifton, William Bromlow of Tifton, and Randy Bromlow of Tifton. Cory also leaves behind many friends and extended family that he loved and cherished.
