Albert P. Ramos, 95, of Fairhaven died January 25, 2022 peacefully at Alden Court Nursing Home.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Teves) Ramos.
Born and raised in New Bedford, son of the late John P. and Frances A. (DeMelo) Ramos, he lived in Fairhaven since 1955.
He was formerly employed by Morse Twist Drill for 25 years until his retirement. In retirement, he worked as a watch repairer at Flor Jewelers in Dartmouth.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a recipient of the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign ribbon, the Philippine Liberation medal and the World War II Victory medal.
He enjoyed researching genealogy and collecting stamps.
Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Donovan and her husband Andrew of Fairhaven; a sister, Hazel Murray of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren, Audra Donovan and Brianne Donovan; a great-granddaughter, Kiya; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late John Ramos, Jr.
His Funeral will be held on Friday, January 28th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, followed by his Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday January 27th from 4-6 PM.
