Marilyn “Joy” Stephens Doles, 68, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Ronnie Howell officiating. Mrs. Doles will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Chad Alexander, Rob Stalvey, Luke Alexander, Paul Hamilton, Stan Carr, Junior Wood and James Turnmire will serve as pallbearers.
Born December 21, 1953, in Tifton, Mrs. Doles was the daughter of the late Jimmie Stephens and Jeannette Sullivan Stephens. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church. She loved her Lord, and she was devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Doles is survived by her husband, Joel Doles of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Rob Stalvey of Valdosta; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Stan Carr and Jean and Tommy Hasty, all of Tifton; three sisters-in-law, Fran Doles and Jane Coleman, both of Valdosta and Marie Doles of Elon, North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Stalvey and Rilyn Stalvey.
