Laura R. King, 89, of Alexandria, passed away at home on January 23, 2022. She was born on April 7, 1932 in Anderson, the daughter of Earl and Naomi (Kingery) Fred.
Laura was a homemaker and enjoyed line dancing at the Eagles in Alexandria, going to the excel fitness center, and participating in the local Relays for Life.
She is survived by her three sons; Rodney King, Arthur (Teresa Schaffer) King, Philip King all of Alexandria; grandchildren; Robert King, Jacob (Cassie) King, Charlie King, Liz and Ryan Dye, Matt and Holly Gerber, Tina Marie and Mike Gill; great grandchildren, Lydia Courter, Jacob King, Dale King, Lilly Dye, Vincent Dye, Caleb Gerber, Natalie Gerber; one great great grandchild, Rex; sister, Karen (Michael) O’Hara; sister-in-law, Alice Folsom.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband Alvin; sister, Isabel Tracy; daughter, Linda S. King.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11 AM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service in the West Chapel. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 10-11 AM on Thursday before the funeral.
