Steven M. Gilchrist, 40, a longtime resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, originally of Tewksbury, passed away after a long illness, on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington.
A son of Arlene Gilchrist, of Tewksbury, he was born in Lowell and raised and educated in Tewksbury. After high school he relocated to Lake Havasu City, Arizona where he lived out most of his adult life. Most recently he came back to New England due to his declining health and so he, and his children, could be closer to family. He worked in the car audio electronics field for many years before his illness made that no longer possible.
Steve enjoyed tinkering with anything electronic, especially car audio electronics. He also enjoyed politics and was a survivalist. In many ways those 2 interests combined as he would routinely visit our southern border to see things for himself.
Besides his mother, Arlene, Steven is survived by his two beloved children, Danielle Gilchrist and Jonathan Gilchrist both of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, his sister, Erin Young and her husband Robert Young, of Merrimack, NH and his niece Savannah Young and his nephew, Logan Young both of Merrimack, NH. He was also a grandson of the late Richard Gilchrist and the late Barbara Gilchrist
For anyone who can not attend, his funeral will be streamed live on Tewksbury Funeral Home facebook page at: Steven Gilchrist Live Service Link for live viewing or for viewing after the services are completed.
