Orman B. Moody, 89, of Auburn, died Sunday, January 23rd at home, with his family by his side. His wife of 68 years, Anne T. (Thompson) Moody died in 2019. He is survived by his three daughters, Suzanne Wargo and her husband, Douglas of North Grosvenordale, CT, Jacqueline Krajewski and her husband, Joseph of Swansea and Annecatherine Maloney and her husband, James of Brookline, NH, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. He was predeceased by six brothers and three sisters.
He was born in Lewiston, ME the son of Leonard and Jane (Ridley) Moody; and had served during the Korean War in the United States Navy. Mr. Moody had last worked as a sales manager for the former Zayre's department store. He had been a member of the Auburn Knights of Columbus and the Auburn Lodge of Elks. Mr. Moody valued education and lifelong learning. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in English from Assumption College in 1990. His greatest joy was time spent with family and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
His funeral is Friday, January 28th with his funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will take place at a later date. A visitation will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 the day of the funeral at O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue.
