Anthony R. Rizza passed away peacefully at the Marist Hill Nursing Home in Waltham on January 6th. He was 87. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, Anthony was the son of the late Michael and Angela (Moncada) Rizza. Anthony earned his degree from Northeastern University, graduating with the class of 1957. Throughout his life, Anthony worked as a certified public accountant. He was a longtime Medford resident and was a proud member of the Lawrence Light Guard Association.
The beloved father of Tony Rizza and his wife Carolina of Florida, James Rizza and his wife Sharon of Florida, Richard Rizza and his wife Dina of Waltham and Joan Rizza of Florida, Anthony was the dear former husband of Joan (Doogan) Rizza of Florida. He was also a devoted brother of the late Lucy, Sal, Lou, Bobby and Ben.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Saturday April 9th, in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
