Ellen V. (Rice) King, 89, died Monday, April 24, 2006 at the Copley Nursing Home in Stoughton. She was the beloved wife of 58 years of Frederick J. King. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. King was a resident of Stoughton for over 30 years. Mrs. King was active at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Stoughton in the Friendship Club and Choir. In her free time, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, baking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: John P. King of Stoughton, Christopher F. King of Taunton and Terri L. Manning of Stoughton. She was the sister of Lillian M. Hayes of S. Boston and the late Francis A. Rice. Mrs. King was the beloved Nana of Hillary, Ryan, Michael, Kristie, Timothy, Shannon, Colleen and Michelle and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 414 Sumner St., Stoughton on Friday, April 28 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday from 5-8. Donations in Ellen’s name may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts St., Newton, 02158. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
