AUBURN — Doris A. (Morelly) Goyette, 79, of Auburn, formerly of Millbury, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. Her husband, Robert H. Richards died in 2013.
Doris leaves three sons, Richard Goyette, David Goyette and Kevin Goyette, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Irene Bleau of West Boylston and Charlotte David of Charleston, South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. Doris was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Charles J. and Alma S. (Langevin) Morelly and resided in Millbury for many years.
Mrs. Goyette was a machinist for more than 35 years for Jamesbury Corp. and retired several years ago. Previously she worked for many years at Iandoli's Markets and Fortin's Markets.
Doris was a loving Mother and Grandmother enjoying time spent with family. She also enjoyed reading, needlepoint, puzzles and traveling. Doris loved her cats and would always donate to Animal Charities. like the ASPCA. Doris believed in giving back and volunteered many hours to the Worcester and Millbury Senior Centers, the former Foothills Theater, the Ecotarium (Worcester Science Center) and the Millbury Town Hall and other organizations.
The funeral will be held on Thursday January 27, 2022 from DIRSA – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St, Worcester. Per Worcester requirements face masking is necessary to attend services. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday January 26, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
