Madeline Kelly (Kelly-Pierz) passed away peacefully on November 23, 2021 at her vacation home in Anguilla, BWI. She resided in Boynton Beach Florida and also had a vacation home In Shoreby Hill, Jamestown, Rhode Island for many years.
Madeline was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Katherine (Ford) and Lawrence Myatt. She was the wife of John J. Kelly who predeceased her and is survived by her son John J. Kelly of Hartford, Connecticut, Granddaughters, Christina Sullivan of Quincy, Massachusetts and Charlotte Kelly of Clinton, Connecticut. She also has two Great Grandsons, Jeremiah and Frankie Sullivan of Quincy, Massachusetts.
Madeline was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with an English degree and taught English at Canton High School.
She was a compassionate and very generous person who’s sense of adventure took her around the world. Her spirited personality captivated all who knew her. Madeline’s passion was entertaining family and friends, and had a memorable flair for hosting themed events at her Shoreby Hill home “The Casino” in Jamestown.
Madeline is greatly missed by all her family, many dear friends, and her beloved pets. A lover of nature, she was enthusiastic about her animals.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St., Canton, MA on February 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will be private at a later date.
