LIMINGTON- Helena Marie Mitchell, age 66, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born in South Boston on September 21, 1955, to Ethelyn Anne Strout and the late Howard James Strout. Helena retired from Gorham House and worked for several other home health agencies in the area as a CNA. Helena loved working with the elderly and very often would make costumes for all the patients to celebrate holidays. She was an excellent seamstress and knitter and enjoyed making sweaters and Halloween costumes for her many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time vacationing in her camper, with her husband Ralph and friends at bluegrass festivals.
Helena is survived by her beloved husband, Ralph Mitchell; her mother Ethelyn Strout; her daughter Amanda Stanley; her son and wife Brydon and Angela Stanley; sisters Ida Courtemanche and Theresa Strout Wade; brothers Michael Strout, Richard Strout and Russell Strout as well as many loved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday February 5th at 1pm at The Deeper Well Church, 190 Northeast Rd Standish, ME 04048.
