Phyllis A. (Merrick) Tanguay of Salem, NH, died Tuesday at the Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH.
She was born in Haverhill, MA, grew up and was schooled in Haverhill, and Roxbury, MA, and graduated from Roxbury High School. She was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 49 years, formerly of Haverhill, MA.
Mrs. Tanguay was a retired assembler for Hytron Corporation of Newburyport, MA. She had previously worked for Derotex Corp. in Lawrence, MA.
She was predeceased by her husband John Tanguay. She was also predeceased by her daughter Marjorie Shaver.
She is survived by 1 Son: Ralph H. Jr. & his Wife Carol Frye of Salem, NH
1 Daughter: Virginia A. Salyards of Virginia Beach, VA
1 Brother: Elliot Merrick of Haverhill, MA
5 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 28 at 10 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Plaistow, NH.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 27 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
