Charlotte Marie Hill, maiden name Makein age 60 of Carver, Massachusetts, formerly from Plymouth and Whitman MA, died on January 18th, 2022 at Cape Cod Regency Rehabilitation and Health Center after a long fight against dementia.
She was born in Brockton, Massachusetts in 1961 and was the 5th child (only daughter) of Alfred James Makein and Marie F. (Tobin) Makein.
She grew up in Whitman and attended Whitman-Hanson Regional High School where she played soft ball and was the manager of both the cheerleading and gymnastic teams. She graduated Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1978.
She continued her education at both Massasoit State Community College and Bridgewater State University and received a dual master’s degree in Elementary and Art Education graduating in 2001 from Bridgewater State University. She was an elementary school teacher for over 20 years and worked at the following school districts: Hull, Marshfield, Cohasset, and Holbrook.
She is survived by her husband Allan Hill for 32 years and four brothers: Alfred (Wareham, MA), Thomas (Plymouth, MA), Stephen (Whitman, MA), Brian (Abington, MA) their spouses, and numerous nieces and nephews. Additionally, she leaves behind her daughter Dr. Amanda Hill, DVM of Middleboro, Massachusetts and son Robert Hill of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
She enjoyed going to the beach, painting, and religiously watching Patriot’s football games every Sunday.
Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, the family has decided to host a celebration of life that will be held at later date when social distancing can be done outside. More information on this date will be released once events have been determined.
