Mrs. Bryant was born October 30, 1946, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Roy T. and Willene Thompson Young. She was a 1965 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. On January 2, 1966, she married her sweetheart, and they began their family. In addition to being a wife and homemaker, she worked several years as a cashier at Dill's Foodland, Lil' Pantry/Colonial Village and Food Lion. While she had many different jobs, the one she enjoyed the most was being owner and operator of Brenda's Daycare. She loved keeping children in her home and being affectionately called "Mema" by her daycare kids. Many of her nieces and nephews called her "Nana". Her grandsons were her pride and joy and she loved being their Granny and becoming a great grandmother. She loved her family dearly and spending time reading her Bible. She was a member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by faithful and devoted husband of 56 years, Wenzel Bryant; her children and their spouses: Allen and Kim Bryant of Fitzgerald, and Kim and Chris O'Neal of Chula; grandsons Zach and Stephanie Bryant, and Mason Bryant; and great granddaughter Natellie Bryant; brother Kenny and Jane Young; sisters Nadine Howell, Vickie and Daniel Lamb, Cindy and Daryl McIntosh, and Jena and Rex Golden; brother and sister in-laws, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jackson's office for the care they gave her over the years.
