TEWKSBURY: Malcolm J. Anderson, age 76, a resident of Tewksbury for 48 years, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Lowell General Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen S. (Ganchi) Anderson, with whom he would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on November 9, 2022.
Born in Chelsea, MA on February 8, 1945, he was the son of the late Jesse Anderson and the late Anna (Mullen) Anderson.
Malcolm was raised in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School in 1963.
He resided in Woburn and Billerica until moving to Tewksbury in 1974.
Malcolm worked for the J.H. Winn Company in Winchester and the Verizon Communications Company until his retirement. During his retirement years, he worked as a driver for the Doubletree Hotel in Bedford, MA.
He was a member of the Order of the Sons and Daughters of Italy in Tewksbury.
Malcolm enjoyed bowling, gardening, and vacationing in Kennebunk, ME. In addition, he was an avid New York Giants Football, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Bruins Hockey fan.
Besides his wife Kathleen, he is survived by two children, Tammy J. Damiano and her husband Raffaele, of Tewksbury, and Derek P. Anderson and his wife Kara, of Dracut: three grandchildren, Adrianna Damiano, Ashley and Hailey Anderson: his brother, Roy Anderson and his wife Debbie, of Wilmington: his sister, Debbie Anderson, of Wilmington: two brothers-in-law, Paul Ganchi and his wife Ann, of Laconia, NH and Anthony Ganchi and his wife Faye, of Tewksbury: also many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Jan. 27th, from 4-6 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. There are No Funeral Services. Please Omit Flowers. Donations in his memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org
