Joseph F. Serra passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday January 19th at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. He was 72. Born in Boston and raised in Medford, he lived in Medford for many years before settling in Stoneham. A kind and thoughtful man, Joseph earned degrees at the Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University. He worked for many years as an engineering manager with Teradyne Corporation before engaging in full-time ministry with the Jehovah’s Witnesses for the past 28 years. He was missioned at the Saugus Kingdom Hall.
The beloved husband of 51 years to Donna R. (Ferrante) Serra, Joseph was a devoted and loving father to Lisa Serra and her husband Vinnie Cambria. He was a loving papa to Heath Cambria. The dear son of Frank Serra and the late Grace (Nastasi) Serra, Joseph was the brother of the late Vinnie Serra.
