David John Stone, age 56, of Medford passed away on Sunday, January 16th, at Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Raised and educated in East Boston, he was the son of the late Frederick and Eleanor (Tuttle) Stone. David was employed as a property manager and worked primarily in South Station. In his spare time, he enjoyed scuba diving, working out, and walking with his dogs Madee and Noah. He got his greatest joy out of spending his weekends in Maine with his wife Lisa, attending his granddaughter Nora’s soccer games, playing with his granddaughter Isla and Sunday dinners with his family.
David was the beloved husband of Lisa Amari Stone, and the devoted father of Lisamarie “Mia” Hurley and her husband Patrick of Boston, and David Stone and his partner Brad DiCenzo of Haverhill. He was the loving grandfather of Nora Mary-Rose Hurley, Isla Kathleen Hurley and Braeden DiCenza, and dear brother of Gretchen, Freddy, Marilyn, Pamela, Ramona, Alan, Brenford, Larry, Donald, Dale, and the late Milton. David is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, on Saturday, February 12th at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford from 9 through 11 AM. Interment will be private.
