Martin T. "Marty" Austin, Jr, 90, of Railroad Avenue, Johnston, died Tuesday at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the longtime companion of Rose McGillivray.
Born in Smithfield, he was a son of the late Martin T. Austin, Sr. and the late Cecelia (Connetti) Crossman. Marty served in the during Korea. He had lived in Chepachet before moving to Johnston.
Marty owned Marty's Auction Barn for over 30 years before retiring.
Besides, Rose, he is survived by his children: Debbie Fleming, Matthew Austin, Michael Austin and Mark Austin, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, Arthur Austin. He was the father of the late Martin Austin.
His burial was in the Ri Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter.
