Joann (DiBernardo) Boyce, 67, of Bellingham, passed away on January 20, 2022 at home, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. The family is deeply saddened by her death.
Born on June 1st, 1954 in Long Island, NY, Joann was the daughter of Julius and Rose (Romano) DiBernardo. After graduating from high school, Joann relocated to Massachusetts where she spent most of her life. Joann married her husband, Tom, on April 26th, 1975 and was married for 46 years. Together they had three children, Julie, Kevin, and Lori. She lived with her family in Hopedale for 24 years.
Joann was last employed at Milford Regional Medical Center as a Release of Information Specialist. She enjoyed her work and spent nearly a decade at Milford Regional before retiring in 2019.
Joann enjoyed travelling, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Emily. Over the years, she took many family vacations and trips. Family cruises, Las Vegas, and trips to Italy were all amongst her favorite destinations.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tom, by her children, Julie Feeley and her fiancé David Kline of Newark, DE, Kevin Boyce and his wife Katie of Franklin, and Lori Owen and her husband Derrek of Weymouth, and by her granddaughter Emily Boyce.
She is also survived by her brother, Joseph DiBernardo of Forked River, NJ, and brother in-law, Peter Ciorciari of Hicksville, NY. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Rosemarie Ciorciari.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Monday, January 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin. Entombment will follow Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree at 11:45 a.m.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m. at Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Face masks are required in the funeral home and in St. Mary’s Church.
