Richard H. Lewis, age 72, of Lynn and formerly of Woburn passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, following a period of declining health. Born in Woburn he was the son of the late William L. and Emma H. (Fields) Lewis.
Ricky, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was raised and educated in Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School with the class of 1967. He worked for many years prior to his retirement at the Winchester Hospital where he fostered many lasting friendships with coworkers and people he interacted with on a daily basis, especially his good friend Tony.
In his leisure time Ricky enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle, with family and friends. He always looked forward to weekend trips to New Hampshire to spend time with his friends. However, Ricky's greatest joy in life was his family. He will be fondly remembered for his hard work ethic and his ability to be a great provider for his family. He will be greatly missed.
Ricky was the devoted father of Erin Pickering and her husband Robert of Lynn, John Lewis of Lynn, Meghan Lewis and her companion Anthony West of Salem, NH. He was the loving grandfather of Autumn Long, R.J. Pickering, Anthony West, and Mason Pickering. He is also survived by his former wife and dear friend Denise Lewis of Lynn. Nephew of Lester Lewis of Boston and cherished brother of Bebe Pearson of Lynn, the late William Lewis and his surviving wife Katherine of Woburn, the late Robert Schenck and John Schenck. Godfather of Kim Lewis of Woburn, uncle of Paul Welliver and Kaitlin Welliver both of Winchester. He is further survived by loving family members and dear friends.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN Monday, January 24th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7 p.m. Interment services will be private.
