CHICOPEE – Charles L. “Chuck” Clark, 80, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, January 14, 2022. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born at home on Ducharme Avenue in the Willimansett section of Chicopee on Christmas Day, December 25, 1941, a beloved son of the late George R. and Marguerite V. (Myette) Clark. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force. His military career spanned over 20 years and he retired with the rank of Technical Sergeant, receiving numerous awards and medals including the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, the Air Force Longevity Service Award and the Joint Service Commendation Medal. He was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. Chuck was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan and always enjoyed a “heated conversation” about politics. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his loving wife, children, grandchildren and most especially his great grandchildren. He leaves his beloved wife and soul mate, Maxine J. (Kapinos) Clark. They were married on February 19, 1972 at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee and were blessed with over 49 years of happiness together. He also leaves his three children, Todd G. Clark and his wife, Lisa, of Westfield, Diana L. Holloway of Columbus, IN, and Pamela M. Paquette and her husband, Paul, of Goshen; his seven cherished grandchildren, Justin Ryan, Josh Ryan, Sarah Clark, Maxine Holloway, Sean Holloway, Laura Paquette-Santos and her husband, Frank Santos, and Paul Paquette, Jr.; his three cherished great grandchildren, Raylin, Chevy, and Gracie Mae; his dear brother, Ronald Clark (Noreen), of Chicopee; his four dear sisters, Alice Gosselin of Chicopee, Eileen Urian (Richard), of Enfield, CT, Eleanor Piotrowski of Plantsville, CT, and Renee Burns of Chicopee; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved grandson, Jacob Clark who was Called Home on January 6, 2017; and his two dear brothers and four dear sisters. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Masks are required for his services. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service with United States Air Force Military Honors on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
