In Taunton, Rita J. Wisz, age 71, passed away in Morton Hospital on January 18, 2022 while surrounded by her loving family. Rita was the wife of Walter Wisz. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Frederick & Ellen (Gauthier) Lovell.
Rita was a lifetime resident of Taunton. She attended Taunton schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School. Rita was former employee of Princess House in Dighton working in data processing. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, trips to Las Vegas, playing cards with her sisters, visiting all the National Parks west of the Mississippi, wintering in Venus, FL, taking cruises to Europe and having lunch in the French countryside, visiting Omaha Beach and spending time with her family.
Rita leaves her two loving children; Brandie Leeman of Lawrence, MA and Stephanie Augustine of Wareham. She also leaves her siblings; Mary Shepard of Taunton, Anna Morrow of Acushnet, Charles Lovell of Taunton and the late Claire Lovell, Joseph Lovell, Gerard Lovell and James Lovell. Rita also leaves her grandchildren; Joseph Leeman of Lawrence and Taylor Augustine of Wareham.
Funeral home visiting hours will be on May 10th from 8:30-10:30am. with a funeral home service at 10:30am. Reception to follow.
