Robert A. Nutt, 73, of Woonsocket died Tuesday January 11, 2022 at home. He was the former husband and lifelong friend of the late Marian P. Mary Morrow. They were each other’s true loves.
Born in Boston and raised in Somerville he was a son of the late Harold and Sarah (DiStefano) Nutt. He lived in Cambridge and Charlestown for many years. He also resided in North Adams in the Berkshires for about 15 years before moving to the Woonsocket area.
Robert worked as a commercial painting contractor. He also worked as a security guard for Nabisco and at Somerville Lumber Company.
Robert was devoted to his family. As a native Bostonian he was a die-hard member of Red Sox nation and also rooted for the Celtics. Watching classic westerns on TV, especially the Rifleman, was right up his alley. He also played a mean hand of cards.
Robert is survived by his children including sons Robert Nutt Richards of Lincoln, Allen Nutt of Woonsocket and Stephen Nutt of north Adams, MA., and daughters Tammy Weeden and her husband David of Sacramento CA, Sharon Donlevy and her husband Max and Christine Nutt all of Woonsocket. He was the brother of Sally Bontempo of NH, Judith Ippolito of AZ, Susan Lopez of Cambridge, MA and the late Harold, Jr., Andrew, Joseph and Charles Nutt and Mary Hays. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews and their families.
His memorial service will be Tuesday February 1, 2022 from 5-7 pm at Solid Rock Baptist Church 214 Main St. in Blackstone, MA. 01504. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private.
Arrangements are in care of the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
