CHICOPEE – John “Marty” Martin, 53, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Home on Saturday, January 15, 2022. He was born in Holyoke on August 4, 1968, a beloved son of John R. Martin and the late Anne Marie (Tetreault) Martin who was Called Home on October 25, 1999. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. He was employed as a Supervisor and Machine Operator at the US Tsubaki Company in Holyoke. During his leisure time, John enjoyed motorcycling and golfing. He leaves his loving father and step-mother, John R. Martin and Colleen (O’Grady) Martin, of Chicopee; his loving son, Jacob W. Martin of Granby; his loving sister, Pamela A. Arvanetes of Coral Springs, FL; his longtime partner, Carrie Fillion of Chicopee; his dear step sisters and step brother, Nancy, Margaret and Michael; his cherished nephew, Peter Arvanetes and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. His Funeral will be held on Saturday morning, January 22, 2022 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His burial will be private at Sainte Rose Cemetery, Chicopee. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
