Herbert D. Webster, 86, of Londonderry, NH died Sunday January 16, 2022 at the Courville at Manchester, NH. He was born on May 28, 1935 in Manchester, NH, a son of the late Charles and Gladys (Walch) Webster. A former resident of Derry, NH, he had lived in Londonderry since 1997.
Herb served as a Derry Police Officer and was named one of the first Sergeants in the department. He had owned and operated Getty Gas Station in Derry for many years. Herb later worked for Walmart in Derry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time in Pittsburg, NH. He also enjoyed hiking and trips to the beach.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” (Naylor) Webster of Londonderry, five children, Susan McKinnon of Folkston, GA, Debra Beaulieu of Derry, Tracy Webster of Goffstown, NH, William Webster and his wife Janet of Derry, and Gary Webster and his wife Mary of Candia, NH, his stepdaughter, Stephanie Marchant and her husband Mike of Londonderry, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, eight great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles H. Webster.
Calling hours will be held on Friday January 21, 2022 from 2 – 4 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in the funeral home. The family asks that all those in attendance wear masks. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association @ diabetes.org.
