Cecelia (Cabral) Piva, 92, of North Andover, formerly of Acushnet, passed away Thursday January 13, 2022. She was the wife of the late Ronald C. Piva.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Hermano and Mary (Morgado) Cabral. In her teens, she immigrated to America to start a new life. It was here that she met her future husband Ronald. They spent their life together in the United States and abroad traveling with Ron's career in the U.S. Air Force. She had a passion for Bingo and sweets and the love of her family.
She is survived by her two children, Bruce Piva of Clermont, FL, and Diane Bowe and her husband Christopher of North Andover; and two grandchildren, Jennifer Bowe of Boston and Allison Bowe and her husband Bryan Grissman of LaGrange, IL. Cecelia was also blessed to have a great-granddaughter, Reagan Cecelia Grissman. She also leaves her brother, Joseph Cabral of Cape Cod and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was predeceased by her husband Ron, and her siblings, Natalie, Hermano, and Louis Cabral.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday January 21st at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, Acushnet at 10 AM.
