Leola Tucker Hilton, 79, of Warner Robins, Georgia, died Friday, January 14, 2022, at Houston Healthcare in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, in Tift County, Georgia, with Elder Mike Hasty officiating. The family will greet friends at the graveside.
Mrs. Hilton was born May 21, 1942, in Nashville, Georgia, to the late Martin Tucker. She received her nurse’s training at Grady Hospital in Atlanta and worked as an LPN and an RN for 24 years at Irwin County Hospital. She left nursing and worked on the assembly line at Delco Remy/Delphi Automotive Systems making automotive batteries. She enjoyed crocheting and word search puzzles. Mrs. Hilton was an avid reader as well. She also enjoyed satisfying her sweet tooth. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
She is survived by her children: Johnny Winter of Warner Robins, Bo & Sherry Winter of Irwinville, Donna & Jeff Heller of Tifton, and Cindy & Cathy Winter of Warner Robins; grandchildren: Chloe Winter, Katie Winter, and Lindsey & T.J. Wilson; great-grandchildren: Easton Wilson and Emma Wilson; a sister, Lizzie Nell & Phillip Totty of Americus; and a brother: G-Hugh & Bobbie Joyce Tucker of Tifton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Clarence Hilton; and a granddaughter, Leslie Blair Whitley.
