Obituary

Michael Vaughan of Stoneham passed away suddenly on Monday, April 24, 2006 at Winchester Hospital. He was 50 years of age.

Born in Somerville, Michael was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Michael was devoted to his family. They were first and foremost in his life. He will be missed by all.

Michael was a graduate of Stoneham High School Class of 1973. He was the Captain of Stoneham High School Hockey Team. Michael was a longtime dedicated employee for Walsh Brothers. He was responsible for many projects, most notably, the Agganis Center at Boston University.

Michael was the beloved husband of Maureen (Irvin) Vaughan, with whom they would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on June 19th. He was the devoted father of Michala Vaughan of Wakefield, Katelyn Vaughan of New York, Cassi and Michael Vaughan of Stoneham. Michael was the cherished son of Corrine (Babin) Blomquist and step son of Robert Blomquist and the cherished son of the late Earl H. Vaughan. He was the loving grandfather of Chazz Cooper and the dear brother of Joseph Vaughan, Mark Vaughan and his wife Brenda, all of Stoneham. Michael was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Michael’s life in St. Patrick’s Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Stoneham.
